Cablevision is an Optimum company. We’ve attempted to find details about early termination fees associated with the cable, Internet and phone provider, but we’ve been unable to find one description of the fees we know exist.

. Cablevision, or Optimum, does not list a general customer service phone number. Customers must enter their zip code to find out contact information for customer service in their area.
Is There An Early Termination Fee?
We are confident there is an early termination fee because the Triple Play plan from Cablevision and Optimum claims the customer must maintain service for at least one year. However, there is no fee listed if the customer chooses to cancel during the first year. Customers need to ask about the early termination fee for services provided by Cablevision before signing up for service even if that means calling more than one customer service representative, the billing department and the installation department and asking for a list of fees in writing. But, even then, the company holds the right to change fees at any time or place unique fees on a specific promotion.
Early Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your service before the end of the promotional period, you must return all equipment leased from Cablevision to avoid having to pay equipment fees. Equipment fees are known to be extremely expensive. Some equipment fees can be in excess of $700 for one piece of equipment. If the equipment is returned and Cablevision says the equipment is not in good working order, the customer may still be responsible for equipment fees.
